Dear Families,
Only 4 weeks to go! This year has really passed by fast. I still can’t believe the year is almost over. The students have grown so much both socially and academically. I am very proud of all the children for their hard work and efforts.
OPEN HOUSE
Please mark your calendars....Open House will be on May 28th. This is a great opportunity for you to come and see your child’s work and classroom. The children has many wonderful work ready to show you. I hope everyone can come!
BENCHMARKS
We will be starting our third semester benchmarks towards the end of May. It is important that your child does not miss school during this time since make-up is very difficult.
FIELD TRIP: Gymnastics Beat
The first graders will have a final field trip on June 4th. We will be going to Gymnastics Beat and the children will be able to use the equipment at the gym as a group and explore on their own. The kids really enjoy this opportunity to use the gym. It’s a very active and fun experience so please get your child’s permission slip turned in. The cost is $7.50 per child. Please send in permission slip and payment as soon as possible.
End of the Year Party
We will be having an end of the year party on June 11th (a minimum day). We will be making a friendship fruit salad. Because the students will be cleaning their desks and there is little time due to the short day, there will not be other foods. The party will be before lunch and students will watch a movie during this time. It has been a pleasure having been your child’s teacher next year.
